The Horror in Dunwich Hall is a Lovecraftian short story filled with hot sex and a horrifying monster. When a young man gets the chance to bring the college hockey star home back to his dorm, he isn't expecting the evening to end in a terrifying encounter with tentacled terror in his toilet! With a heavy mix of graphic sex and skin-tingling terrors, The Horror in Dunwich Hall is perfect for fans of horror, gay fiction, and M/M romance!

The Horror in Dunwich Hall A Gay Erotic Horror Story The Christopher King HomoHorror Stories Book 1 edition by Johnny Murdoc Literature Fiction eBooks

Quirky and disturbing.

Johnny Murdoch is the only author who could've made this story work. Stereotypes like slutty gay guys and dumb (equally slutty) jocks are normally annoying and somewhat offensive to read about. Adding to the story a random Cthulhu-like monster, which has absolutely nothing to do with the plot, seems even more ridiculous. But Johnny Murdoch writes the protagonist, Christopher King, with an equally absurd and hilarious sense of humor that is blatantly obvious comparable to FX's original series, "Archer," which makes this story fun to read. At the end Murdoch provides a strong moral presented in a unique way that certainly makes "The Horror in Dunwhich Hall" worth reading.

Personally, even though this is one of my favorite gay-oriented short horror stories, the only pitfall was a lack of intimate character details between Christopher King and his trick-boy hockey player. I wanted to like Christpher King, I really did, but there wasn't anything identifiable or empathetic about him. I would've liked to see more emotional struggles between them. There were no sensitive elements or "Save the Cat" moments that gave me a reason to care about him or any of the other characters. They were a tad one-dimensional and too stereotypical, which is a shame because the plot, dialogue and sex-scenes were excellent.

Aside from that, Johnny Murdoch has wonderful fluidity in his sentences, excellent turn of phrases, strong articulation and a wonderful sense of humor (and imagery!) that will certainly keep me on the lookout for more stories in his Christopher King series.

Another good story by Johnny Murdoc! The Horror in Dunwich Hall is a sexy story with a creepy twist, it's especially good to read around Halloween. It was creative, funny, and thrilling! The characters were realistic and the imagery and plot were entertaining. I don't want to give anything away so I'll move on to something else that impressed me about this work, the cover art. As someone who reads a lot I think that the cover art on a story is important for getting a feel for the story within. That being said, I really liked the cover art for The Horror in Dunwich Hall. If the story were a gift the cover art would be beautiful wrapping paper and a shiny bow.
For $3.00 you get a story that is roughly 10 pages long. There is very little indication that the story is so short. And, no, I am not talking about the free sample. The entire story after purchase is 10-15 pages long.
this is a fun, sexy erotic story from Johnny Murdoc. it stars a couple of college aged studs whose hookup encounter takes a strange and dark turn.

full of wit and sex and creepy scenes, this is a very enjoyable tale that it head above most other erotic stories.
This had me laughing and cringing at the description of the monsters. It was sweet and savory, it was funny and hot, and I could do with a little less of the explanation of the locker room, skates and such, but the budding "romance" and the straightforwardness of it was classy (sarcasm). But having it told from the 1st person POV can be annoying unless done properly and this is! I love it seems the main character is talking to his audience. Would like to see more stories. All were so great, rough, edgy and funny. And sexy with wonderful stories and characters.
